Starfinder 2e
Pathmuncher (sometimes called Starmuncher here) also imports Starfinder 2e characters into a world running the Starfinder 2e system. Everything on the other pages applies; this page covers what is different.
Where to build
- Pathbuilder - build the character in Pathbuilder's Starfinder 2e mode, then import it by export ID, pasted JSON or JSON file, just like a Pathfinder character. See Getting Started.
- Hephaistos 2E - use Hephaistos's Pathbuilder JSON export, then import it with Paste JSON or JSON file. Hephaistos characters have no Pathbuilder export ID.
Equipment
- Weapon and armor grades - Pathbuilder exports Starfinder weapons and armor as runes, the way Pathfinder ones are. Pathmuncher turns these into the right grade: commercial, tactical, advanced, superior, elite, ultimate or paragon. Hephaistos exports the grade itself, and Pathmuncher uses it as it is.
- Upgrades - upgrades are installed in the weapon or armor they belong to.
- Batteries and chem tanks - each comes across as one item holding the charges listed in the export, or as several if there are more charges than one can hold.
- Money - credits and UPBs are imported. Credits come across on a credstick.
Compendiums
The Starfinder 2e system's compendiums are searched by default, and so are those of the Starfinder Anachronism modules, for Pathfinder content used in Starfinder games. See Compendium Lookups.
Familiar abilities come from the Starfinder 2e system's familiar abilities compendium.
Differences from Pathfinder 2e
- The variant rule warnings for Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boosts are Pathfinder 2e only.
- Pathbuilder does not export the grade of shields, so shields come across at their base grade. Upgrades on shields are not imported yet.
- Starfinder has no backpack to hold an Adventurer's Pack's contents, so the pack is listed in the import notes instead.
