Overview of DDB Integration in Foundry
You can import characters, spells, items, monsters and adventures.
There are a number of other things you can import as well, however, the D&D System in Foundry recently underwent some huge changes and some bits of DDB Importer are not yet available. (Please see below for more details).
Characters
You can import characters from D&DBeyond. If you are a DM we recommend you add your players to a campaign in your DDB account so you can interact with their sheet fully. If you are a player and wish to import a character you will need to have permissions ot browser and upload to Foundry, and the DM should have run a spell and and item munch/import previously.
In earlier versions of the D&D System you could do this, this feature will return once parsing to the 4.x.x and 2024 rules changes is finished. See the 2024 FAQ for more details.
Get started with the Quick Start
Monsters, Spells, Items
These are imported into Compendiums, to avoid slowing down your world with unnecessary documents.
Adventures/Books
Adventure Muncher can be used to import Adventures.
Adventures consist of Scenes, these can be grid aligned, walled, and populated with tokens, but it varies from adventure to adventure (see the status page).
It will also import Journals and any Tables it can parse. There is an option to import these to compendiums as well as into the world.
It will not import things like Classes, Class Features, Species etc.
